Arsenal Players Arrive in Budapest for Champions League Final
Arsenal’s players have arrived in Budapest ahead of their highly anticipated Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday. The Gunners are now fully focused on the challenge ahead, having celebrated their recent Premier League victory in style.
On Sunday, the team partied long into the night at the luxurious Bacchanalia restaurant in Mayfair, marking their first title win in 22 years. The celebration was a well-deserved break after a grueling season that saw them clinch the domestic trophy with a seven-point lead over Manchester City.
However, as soon as the party ended, the players quickly shifted their focus back to football. Mikel Arteta’s squad touched down in Hungary on Thursday night, ready to prepare for the biggest match of their season. The team traveled from Luton Airport, and their arrival in Budapest has been marked by a sense of determination and excitement.
One major positive for the Gunners is the inclusion of Jurrien Timber in the traveling party. After successfully completing first-team training, the Dutch defender is now in contention to feature in the final. Timber, who was a key member of Arteta’s defense before his injury, has been sidelined for two and a half months due to a hamstring problem sustained during a match against Everton in March.
Despite missing most of Arsenal’s title run-in, Timber is eager to play a role in the final if he is fit. His inclusion in the Netherlands’ World Cup squad earlier this week further highlights his importance to both club and country.

With fellow right-back Ben White also dealing with a knee issue, Arsenal may need to turn to Cristhian Mosquera if Timber is unable to start. The team will be looking to make the most of their available options as they prepare for the challenge ahead.
Upon landing at the Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport, the Arsenal squad boarded a coach and made their way to their team hotel. There, they were met by a large crowd of enthusiastic fans, who showed their support for the Gunners as they gear up for the final.
A victory against PSG on Saturday would see Arsenal crowned champions of Europe for the first time in their history. They will enter the clash at the Puskas Arena as underdogs, facing a strong Paris Saint-Germain side that defeated Bayern Munich 6-5 on aggregate in the semi-final.
Arsenal, on the other hand, reached the final after beating Atletico Madrid 2-1 across two legs, with a crucial goal from Bukayo Saka sealing their place in the final at the Emirates Stadium.
Arteta’s team lifted the Premier League trophy at Selhurst Park last Sunday after defeating Crystal Palace 2-1, securing the domestic title with a commanding lead over their rivals, Manchester City.
