Is WrestleMania Coming to London?

WWE expert Alistair McGeorge discusses the possibility of WrestleMania returning to Europe. While the idea of a European WrestleMania often sparks debate, recent events such as Clash At The Castle in Cardiff and Money In The Bank in London have fueled excitement about the prospect.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has expressed interest in hosting events of this scale, but it remains unclear if the city can afford the costs typically associated with such events. Recent reports suggest Ireland could be a contender, with Dublin as a potential location. However, it’s unlikely WWE would hold its first European WrestleMania in a city that hasn’t yet hosted a PLE.

Next year, the iconic show is scheduled for Saudi Arabia, with no announcements set for the 2028 edition. Speculation suggests Nashville as a possible location. Despite being a fan of Manchester, the expert believes the UK may not host the first European WrestleMania.

While there is little progress on London hosting the event, the enthusiasm from mainland European crowds has been remarkable. Events like Clash At The Castle in Cardiff and Backlash 2024 in Lyon have shown the potential for large-scale events in Europe.

Cardiff’s Principality Stadium is considered the best-placed UK venue for a potential WrestleMania. Fans will have to keep their fingers crossed for future editions in 2028, 2029, and beyond.
