Mika Abdalla and Jake Short Split
Mika Abdalla, known for her role in the popular show Off Campus, has recently ended her long-term relationship with her fiancé, Jake Short. The news was confirmed by a representative for the actress, who stated, “Due to recent interest in Mika’s personal life it would feel remiss to not address that her and Jake are no longer together.” The rep also mentioned that they continue to support each other and remain on friendly terms, while requesting privacy and respect.
This development comes at an interesting time, as Mika is set to take the lead in the second season of Off Campus as Allie Hayes. Her character will be the central focus of the sophomore season, alongside fan-favourite Dean Di Laurentis, played by Stephen Kalyn.
Abdalla recently appeared in an erotic audio story titled Quinn alongside Kalyn, which has gained significant attention due to the popularity of the ice-hockey romance storyline. As her representative noted, there has been a lot of interest in the personal lives of the entire cast, and it’s hard to blame fans for being curious.
Many members of the Off Campus cast were in serious relationships when the first season began, including Mika at the time. The couple met and fell in love on the set of the 2022 Hulu comedy Sex Appeal.
In an August 2024 episode of The American High Podcast, Mika shared a memory of arriving in Syracuse, New York, for production and visiting Jake’s hotel room just to say hello — only for the conversation to stretch on for hours as they got to know each other better. Their chemistry carried over into real life, and Mika described Jake as “really cool and sweet and great.”
After about four years together, the relationship reached a major milestone. In May 2025, Jake’s manager, Brian Medavoy, confirmed the couple’s engagement by sharing a photo with the caption, “From set to real life — watching your journey has been a joy. Here’s to forever.”
