Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding Plans Under Wraps
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been keeping their wedding plans a closely guarded secret, with the couple reportedly going to great lengths to ensure no details leak. Despite this, a recent comment from a U.S. senator has hinted at the location of their upcoming nuptials.
Senator Sheldon Whitehouse accidentally revealed that the wedding will not take place in Rhode Island. While the couple has not officially confirmed the details, previous reports suggested they plan to tie the knot on July 3rd in New York. Whitehouse, when questioned by TMZ, said he hoped he was wrong but confirmed that the ceremony is not set to happen in the Ocean State.
Swift owns a historic eight-bedroom mansion in Rhode Island, which she purchased for $17.7 million in 2013. However, it seems the singer has chosen a different location for her wedding. The local police chief also confirmed that the town is not preparing for any kind of wedding event.
Secrecy Surrounding the Wedding
The couple has taken extra measures to keep their wedding plans private. Guests were reportedly required to RSVP with a signed NDA when the save-the-date invites were sent out. This level of secrecy suggests that both Swift and Kelce are determined to avoid any unwanted attention or leaks.
The guest list is rumored to include several high-profile names, such as Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Lena Dunham, and Suki Waterhouse. However, some celebrities, including Blake Lively, Karlie Kloss, and Miles Teller, are said to be excluded from the invitation list.
Kelce made his first appearance at one of Swift’s Eras Tour concerts in July 2023. By September of that year, the 14-time Grammy winner was seen cheering him on at a football game alongside his mother, Donna. Their relationship took a significant turn when Kelce proposed to Swift on August 26 last year, marking the end of her turbulent dating years.
Before meeting Kelce, Swift dated several high-profile figures, including Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles, Conor Kennedy, Calvin Harris, Tom Hiddleston, Joe Alwyn, and Matty Healy.
New Music and Other Projects
While the wedding details remain undisclosed, Swift has been busy with new projects. On Monday, the Grammy-winner announced she wrote an original country song titled I Knew It, I Knew You for the Toy Story 5 soundtrack, set for release this Friday.
“I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a [five-year-old] kid watching the first Toy Story movie,” the singer, who boasts 530.7 million social media followers, wrote.
“I fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?”

Kelce’s Upcoming Activities
Kelce might be attending the world premiere of the new Jean-Michel Basquiat documentary, Jean-Michel, this Friday at Spring Studios during the Tribeca Film Festival. He served as an executive producer for the film.
As a podcaster, Kelce recently signed a three-year $54.7 million contract. His team will play the first preseason game against the LA Rams on August 15 before the regular NFL season kicks off on September 14.
