Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s Wedding: A Celebration of Love and Tradition
Dua Lipa, the 30-year-old pop sensation, recently tied the knot with her husband, Callum Turner, in a private ceremony that captured the attention of fans and media alike. The couple exchanged vows at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London, marking the beginning of their new life together.
A Stunning Wedding Outfit
Dua made a striking appearance in a custom Schiaparelli outfit, which included a fitted skirt suit, Christian Louboutin heels, and a Bulgari snake necklace. However, it was the dramatic wide-brimmed hat she wore that truly stole the spotlight. This headpiece was not just a nod to Bianca Jagger’s iconic look from her wedding to Sir Mick Jagger in 1971 but also a tribute to Callum’s mother, Rosemary.

A Special Tribute to Rosemary
The milliner, Stephen Jones, who created the hat, shared his thoughts on the significance of the piece. He mentioned that Rosemary had worked for him in the 80s at his first shop, PX, in London’s Covent Garden. “Many congratulations to Dua Lipa and Callum, who I have known since he was a baby,” Stephen said.
Rosemary, who raised Callum as a single mother on a Chelsea council estate, has always dreamed of being an actress but instead worked as a nightclub promoter. She is now a psychotherapist.
A Close Bond with His Mother
During an interview with The Sunday Times, Callum spoke about his close relationship with his mother. He described their bond as a friendship, noting that they have been through everything together. He also mentioned that he inherited many of the things his mother loves, such as movies, swimming, visiting museums, and walking in the park.

Callum admitted that he was nervous about meeting Rosemary, as he wanted her to like his mother. He added that he was also nervous meeting Dua’s parents, wanting them to like him.
Emotional Moments
As Dua walked down the aisle in her stunning legal wedding outfit, the look reportedly moved her husband, Callum, to tears. The couple exchanged vows in a modest ceremony with only eight guests present, followed by a lavish three-day celebration in Sicily.
Sources revealed that Callum was “shaking” as he saw Dua walk down the aisle. Her parents, Dukagjin and Anesa, her sister Rina, and brother Gjin were in attendance. An insider said, “He was in tears and shaky.”
A Quiet Celebration
Although the ceremony didn’t draw much attention from passers-by, Dua’s security team was seen scouting the area before she and Callum departed the registry office. The newlyweds left in a simple black cab before enjoying a quiet family dinner to celebrate.

A source told The Sun, “Dua and Callum said their vows in a ceremony with their closest family and friends. Last night they had a quiet celebration dinner. It was chic and simple — exactly as Dua and Callum wanted.”
Preparations for the Big Party
The couple is set to celebrate their big party in Sicily’s capital, Palermo, from Thursday to Saturday. The event is expected to be extravagant, with no expense spared. The pair has booked an entire floor of suites at the luxurious Villa Igiea hotel, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The ceremony itself will take place at the 17th-century Villa Valguarnera, one of the most sumptuous villas in Bagheria, an idyllic town ten miles away from the capital. Music stars like Sir Elton John, Mark Ronson, and Charli XCX are among those attending, along with fashion icons Donatella Versace and Simon Porte Jacquemus.
Finalizing the Details
In advance of the wedding, Dua is believed to have traveled to Italy to meet Donatella to finalize the details of the dress she is designing for the singer to wear on her big day. Friends are convinced that Dua will wear a custom Atelier Versace gown.
A source close to the wedding told the Daily Mail’s Katie Hind, “This is going to be the coolest wedding, and so glam. Both Dua and Callum have been so excited and have been really involved with the planning. They want it to be epic.”
Looking Ahead
Dua shared her excitement about the wedding with British Vogue, saying, “Yeah we’re engaged. It’s very exciting… This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever — it’s a really special feeling.”
She also mentioned that she is keen to have a family of her own but admitted she doesn’t know when would be a “good time” because of the demands of her pop career. “I’d love to have kids one day. But it’s like the constant question of when would there ever be a good time – how it would fit in with my job and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I’d have to take.”
A Promising Future
While the year has got off to a good start for newlyweds Dua and Callum, it could get even better if Callum lands the coveted James Bond job. Sources have told the Daily Mail that Callum, the bookies’ odds-on favorite to take over from Daniel Craig, has been telling friends the role is his. One source close to the Fantastic Beasts star said, “He’s been blabbing all over town. Callum is the new Bond, it’s been confirmed. Everyone in his circle is talking about it. It’s the worst-kept secret going.”
