Unveiled: Tiger Woods’ Support for Vanessa Trump During Cancer Fight from European Rehab

Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump: Navigating Challenges Together

Tiger Woods, the legendary golfer, is not expected to return to his girlfriend Vanessa Trump’s side until the end of June. Despite her recent breast cancer diagnosis, he remains a strong support system for her during this challenging time. Woods, who is 50 years old, is currently in Switzerland undergoing a treatment plan that is believed to last 90 days. This comes after his arrest in late March near his home in Jupiter, Florida, for driving under the influence (DUI). He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Woods made a brief return to the United States in May, just days before Trump announced her breast cancer diagnosis. However, he returned to Europe on May 23 to continue with his own treatment plan. A source close to the couple has shared insights into how they are managing their long-distance relationship during these difficult times.

“They talk and share their lives as they have been doing for the entire time they have been together,” a source quoted in People said. “Their regular communication has helped both cope with these major issues and interruptions in their busy lives.”

Vanessa Trump is a mother of five from her previous relationship with Donald Trump Jr., including President Trump’s oldest grandchild, Kai, who recently turned 19. The source added, “Even though Vanessa has her children and close friends, she and Tiger have a solid emotional connection. This helps both of them.”

Woods, a 15-time major winner and widely considered one of the greatest golfers of all time, is expected to complete his treatment plan and return to Vanessa’s side by the end of the month. He was granted permission by a judge to seek treatment for managing prescription painkillers outside of the United States. When police arrested him in late March, they found him with two hydrocodone pills—strong and addictive painkillers.

In 2025 alone, Woods underwent a seventh back procedure and surgery on a torn Achilles. Meanwhile, Vanessa made the announcement about her health on social media. “I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” she wrote. She added that she had undergone a medical procedure and that “I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me.”

The Daily Mail broke the news that Woods and Trump were an item back in March 2025, with the couple starting their relationship around Thanksgiving 2024. Trump and Don Jr. divorced in 2018 after 13 years of marriage.

Woods, meanwhile, got divorced from ex-wife Elin Nordegren in 2010 after six years of marriage, months after a cheating scandal that saw their relationship unravel in the public eye. Nordegren first discovered Woods was cheating in November 2009, during Thanksgiving week. Woods crashed into a fire hydrant and a tree outside the Florida mansion he shared with her, two days after a National Enquirer report claimed Woods was having an affair with a woman named Rachel Uchitel.

In the aftermath of the crash, where Woods was found by police asleep in the road without shoes and socks on, as per USA Today, while Nordegren tried to smash her way into the car with a golf club, multiple women came forward to claim they too had been involved with the golfer. Not only did it cost Woods his marriage, but he also lost numerous lucrative sponsorship deals—even though Nike stood by him—and he went to rehab for sex addiction during a break from playing golf.
