A Self-Cleaning Litter Box for Cats
A self-cleaning litter box that can keep itself clean for up to 30 days with automatic emptying — because let’s be real, scooping up one cat’s waste every single day is kind of a lot, let alone managing the bathroom of several kitties. This also has a built-in health monitor that tracks your cat’s bathroom habits and alerts you whenever there are irregularities that might warrant a trip to the vet.

The hands-free cleaning cycle runs 20 minutes after your cat leaves the litter box, moving their waste to a leak-proof, odor-controlled, and disposable tray underneath. Also grab a bag of scoop-free crystal litter and tray refills, too.
Promising reviews:
“This litter box is a must for any busy family that struggles to keep up with the daily maintenance of having a cat and a litter box! It works well, and my cat is so happy always having a clean litter box.” — Kelsey Jeffries
“I rarely write product reviews but this litter box actually made a huge difference for my house! I have had a cat for about 10 years who decides to do the number 2 about two feet outside the litter box. He has ALWAYS done this, no matter what type of litter or box. I even asked my vet about it, and his response was, ‘Some cats are just jerks.’ 😂 Then I got this litter box. For the first time EVER, he does ALL of his business in the box! And there is no odor at all!! I love it so much I have two. Would highly recommend!!” — Emily Stokes

Budget-Friendly Top-Entry Litter Box
Or a budget-friendly top-entry litter box, which is compact and discreet enough to quite literally be shoved in a corner. Hey, when you need many boxes, you’ve gotta get strategic. Oh and the grooves on the lid help prevent litter tracking, so you won’t feel like you’re constantly cleaning up after your fur babies.

Reviewers say it works for both small and bigger cats alike!
One reviewer’s tip: Make sure the side without the grooved lid is facing a wall so that cats can’t jump out that way (the grooved side is what prevents litter tracking).
Note that if you have a senior cat with limited mobility, you’d want to provide a litter box with low, easy access for that cat.
Promising review:
“We have three cats and have to manage a silly amount of cat politics. We’ve learned that having a higher number of litter boxes, and spread to different locations, cuts way down on bullying and helps cats to feel safe, as they are instinctively territorial about where they put their scent and feel vulnerable when they’re ‘in the act’. This cat box helps to be able to have boxes in rooms of the house where a cat box would feel garish, not to mention the litter mess. It took a little while for my cats to try it out but they’re using it now and don’t get to kick the gravel out everywhere (I swear they do it on purpose).” — Dism

Large-Capacity Stainless-Steel Water Fountain
A large-capacity, stainless-steel water fountain so the whole litter can stay hydrated with just one vessel. Not only will this work as a space-saving swap for individual water bowls, but the ~running water~ may entice your cats to drink more, too.

Jenae Sitzes and her cats approve of this: “Both of my cats took to this fountain immediately — I do feel like they drink way more water with it around, and I love not having to stress about refilling their water bowl every single day. I did take the flower waterfall off of mine (as shown in the gif above); you may find your cat prefers that. It’s super quiet with only the lightest trickling sound (which is honestly kind of relaxing), and it gets louder when the water gets low inside, signaling to you that it’s time to refill. I always do a quick clean with soap and water at that point, too — it takes no more than a few minutes. Just be sure to do a deep clean of the filter every so often, too. It pops open really easily for cleaning!”
Get it from Amazon for $27.98+ (available in three colors and an even larger-capacity model).
Microchip Pet Feeder
A microchip pet feeder that’ll finally put a stop to your cats sneaking bites of each others’ kibble and will come especially in clutch if you’re dealing with special dietary restrictions for just one kitty. This genius invention syncs with your cat’s unique microchip and only opens for that cat, then automatically closes when they walk away. It’s kind of like those old password journals, but for your cats.

Jenae Sitzes says, “I’ve owned these microchip pet feeders from Sure Petcare for a few years now, and while it was a pricey investment, I consider them worth every single penny. They alleviated a ton of stress when I owned a cat (who has since passed on) who was always wanting to gobble down his brother’s meals and had a tendency to be overweight in his younger years. Separating them for meals just wasn’t working — they would whine at the door and simply not eat enough unless they could eat side by side and have free access to food throughout the day — but I also couldn’t be sure that my younger cat was eating enough with his brother gobbling up part of his meals, too. When my vet started throwing around the word ‘diabetes’ as a very real concern if Sneaky didn’t start sticking to a controlled diet every day, I knew I needed to finally cough up the money for microchip feeders — I mean, it’d be a drop in the bucket compared to the long-term cost of cat insulin.”
The setup was ridiculously fast, the open-close function works beautifully, and my cats learned how to use these almost immediately. Finally, Sneaky could only eat what was in his feeder, which allowed me to control his calorie intake and see exactly how much food he’s eating daily — and I could be sure that my other cat was getting enough food, too. This is also a fantastic solution if you have cats on different diets due to health reasons, and if one of them starts eating way less for some reason, you’ll know immediately and be able to report that to your vet.
I also love that the feeder comes with both split and regular bowls — I used the split bowls to serve my cats both dry food and wet food at once!
BTW, I have the basic microchip feeder (because it was the only option in stock at the time), but there’s also a Wi-Fi-enabled option that connects to the Sure Petcare app for monitoring eating habits, weighing food portions, and more.
Get it from Amazon for $199 (feeder bowls available in four colors).
Litter Genie Litter-Disposal System
A Litter Genie litter-disposal system to control any gross odors and keep daily trash runs to a minimum. One stink-sealing bag in this handy little pail can hold up to 14 days worth of litter trash for one cat — so if you have two cats, you’re basically off the hook for a whole week.

Promising review: “This is an excellent product. I bought this to replace my previous one that I accidentally broke. The Genie keeps the bathroom litter box odor-free. I have three cats and one litter box and even with three, I only dump the bags every THREE WEEKS (or so) so it saves me having to make several trips to the outdoor garbage bins every single day. The only thing I don’t like is that I can’t find cheaper inserts for it any longer so I have to purchase the more expensive Genie ones but that’s really my only complaint.” — Coryelle
Get it from Amazon for $25.99 (includes about 2.5 months worth of refills). Additional liner refills are also available from Amazon for $24.95 (about an 8-month supply).
Odor-Sealing Disposal Bags
Or a pack of odor-sealing disposal bags designed to keep stinky smells locked in, so you can actually go a few days without taking your trash out instead of emptying it every single day.

Jenae Sitzes says, “I’ve been using these for ages now and totally swear by them for scooping my cat’s litter! Truly, I’ve used other types of bags (like those green doggy waste bags) that ended up just making my kitchen trash can smell, so I can tell the difference with these. I personally take pride in the fact that my home doesn’t smell like cats when you walk in, and these are an important tool in my efforts around that!”
Promising review: “I have three cats, two litter boxes, and scoop both once or twice a day, depending on my schedule. I throw my bags away into my lidded kitchen garbage can and take my trash out to the dumpster (apartment living) every two days. In over a year of doing this, I’ve never noticed litter odor escaping from the poop bags and into the garbage can. Even when they’d be close to the top and I’d step on the pedal to toss something else away, I’d always get any food odor or cat food can stink, but never litter waste.” — shadowbox86

Odor and Stain Remover Spray
An odor and stain remover spray that can tackle those strong urine smells (that are known for lingering) in just a few spritzes. You can use this on both hard and soft surfaces as well as both fresh and set messes, so no need to clutter your cabinets with many cleaning products for just one issue. It’s also scented with natural orange oils, so if you’re sensitive to harsh chemical smells, you won’t have to worry about that either.

Promising review: “I have had cats and dogs for 50 years and have used many products for urine stains on carpet. Angry Orange is the bomb. I had cat urine stains on beige carpet that were old. Nothing removed them except this product. It leaves a pleasant scent, and surprisingly, it worked in 10 minutes. I sponged the area with towels and warm water and you cannot see or smell the stain. Great product! Worth every penny.” — Mhdudek M.
Get it from Amazon for $17.96 (available in two scents).
Robotic Vacuum
A robotic vacuum to take care of the constant battle of sweeping up litter, fur, and random pieces of shredded toys scattered across your floor. That leaves you with one less daily cat-related chore to complete, and waaay more time to cuddle with your fur-babies.

This robo vac can easily move between hard floors and low- to medium-pile carpets/rugs and can pick up all the accumulated dust, dirt, and hair while you go about your day. It has an infrared sensor to avoid knocking into obstacles (like furniture and walls) and drop-sensing tech so it won’t fall down stairs and off ledges. And if it starts to run low on battery, it’ll automatically go back to its base to recharge. Reviewers do recommend keeping stray items like socks and cords off the floor before running this.
Promising review: “This robo vacuum is incredible! I have three dogs and a cat; this vacuum is a time saver. I run it each day and it has done an incredible job of keeping pet hair, dirt and debris picked up in my home. Works well on carpet, hardwood, and tile floors. Wish I had purchased it sooner!” — t. hampton

Bissell Little Green Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner
A Bissell Little Green carpet and upholstery cleaner if you’re getting tired of constantly dealing with some of the worst hassles of cat ownership…yup, I’m talking puke and hairballs. Vomit cleanup duty doesn’t actually have to be a whole thing anymore, ‘cause this mean machine can instantly spray, scrub, and suction messes away. Yup, it actually pulls the gunk out of fabric.

Promising review: “I found the Little Green machine because of a TikTok video; someone was cleaning their car seats and the water was absolutely disgusting, so obviously I was like I HAVE TO TRY THIS. So I ordered one and it was everything I ever hoped and more! We have three cats in the house whose favorite pastimes are puking, peeing, and occasionally stepping in their own poop and running across the only carpeted room in the entire house, you know how cats are. Anyway, this thing works SO well it tackles all of that and every other mess I’ve made to date! It’s small enough it doesn’t feel like a huge hassle to store it or pull it out, but also holds enough water I don’t have to constantly run to refill it. I think it might be magic and I have a slightly unhealthy attachment to it at this point. I’m not sure if its always the case, but the box came with a coupon for two containers of the cleaner through Bissell too, which was a huge bonus!” — Stephani

Double-Layered Litter Mat
A double-layered litter mat to trap all that litter your cats kicked out of their box before it can get all over the place. This is nonslip with a leak-proof bottom layer, and it traps litter inside of it until you’re ready to shake it out, vacuum it up, or even pour it right back in the box if your cats are anything like mine and love playing in freshly changed litter.

Jenae Sitzes says, “I’ve been using this trapper mat for a long time now, and while it’s pretty much impossible to eliminate all litter from your home if you own even one cat, let alone many, this mat has made keeping the floor of my litter box room MUCH more manageable. Unlike other mats, where the litter just kind of sits on top and eventually gets kicked elsewhere, this mat is designed so that the litter falls through the holes and stays inside the mat until you’re ready to dump it. It’s made out of an EVA material that’s supposed to be gentle enough for cat paws, and my two kitties don’t seem to have a problem walking on it. I highly recommend getting one of the larger sizes (I have the 30-by-24-inch mat) to extend the coverage area — I initially got the smallest one but went back for a larger size and it’s perfect. Note that the mat will probably have a fold down the middle when it first arrives, but just give it some time and weigh it down with something if needed; it’ll lay flat.”

Huge (But Still Very Aesthetically Pleasing) Cat Tree
A huge (but still very aesthetically pleasing) cat tree that’s got enough room for all of your cats to individually think they’ve got the best seat in the house. Fluffy up top will fancy themselves king of the castle, Patches in the hammock will be feeling smug and satisfied…meanwhile, Whiskers in the cubby will believe they’ve bested both of ‘em. 😉 Yeah, a little trickery was involved — but that means more cat naps and less cat fights.

Shopping contributor Jessica Hall vouches for this tower: “I didn’t want the regular, less-than-appealing tan tower that was in my old apartment, so I searched for a while to find one that was cute but still tall enough for my cats to run and play on. I was so excited when I found this one because it is still over four feet tall and has a bunch of different soft and comfy places for them to take naps. We had to turn the little hammock part around because the space we were putting it in was too narrow, but it still works totally fine and has become the favorite nap spot of Alfie.”
Promising review: “Our very large cats adore it. I have an 18-pound Ragdoll and a 14-pound Angora. They love this new scratcher, and each has their own favorite spot. It is easy for them to get up on, scratch, and gives them separate spaces to rest. They love this way more than their old scratcher. Also very sturdy for our big boy who likes to WHOMP up on the cat scratcher.” — L. G. Saya

Dual-Cabin Pet Carrier
A dual-cabin pet carrier so just one human can easily transport a pair of cats. This sturdy bag is great for schlepping the most precious cargo up and down long flights of apartment stairs for everyday events like vet appointments, but it can also help you quickly and safely evacuate your babes by yourself in case of emergency.

Promising review: “I purchased this after I had spine surgery in January because one night our fire alarms went off and I had no way of evacuating safely with my two emotional support animals from the second floor. Shortly after buying this I had to use it and it was perfect. I was able to put my 18-pound cat in the lower section and my 8-pound cat in the top compartment and get down two flights of stairs and back up with no issues. It’s a super solid and secure backpack and I trust that my animals are safe when using it. It did have a funny smell when I opened the original package so I just let it air out for a day or so and that eliminated the smell.” — Sarah R

Airtight Food Storage Containers
A pair of airtight food storage containers for storing MASSIVE amounts of kibble without worrying about it going stale, your kitties breaking into the bag, or any pests (like ants or rats, uhh…no thanks) working their way in. If your number of cats leaves you with no other option but buying in bulk, this is a must.

You get a large 33-quart bin and a smaller, stackable 12-quart bin, so if you have two different types of dry food you can store them separately, or just use the top bin to store supplies, treats, etc. You could also use the bottom bin for storing cat litter and the top bin for food. The wheels on the bottom bin make it easy to roll around, a helpful feature for those with limited mobility or less arm strength. A scoop is included!
Promising review: “These storage boxes are excellent for protecting pet food from bugs and mice. The smaller container can hold just under an 11-pound bag of cat food. The cat food we use has crunchy and soft morsels. The soft morsels stay soft and the scent from the food when opening the container is fresh and sustained. The bottom container holds up to 25-pound bag of dog food. It has the same results too. The wheels make it convenient to store in a pantry or closet and slide out when needed.” — Shannon Campbell

ChomChom Pet Hair Remover
The ChomChom pet hair remover that will keep your couches, clothes, and carpets fur free. It picks up hair way better than any lint roller, and it’s not going to scare your cats like a vacuum would. Plus, it’s reusable! Just empty out the hair when it’s full.

Jenae Sitzes says, “I’ve been using the ChomChom for quite a while now, and I took the photos above to show just how quick, easy, and effective this roller is. It took 10 seconds to rid my velvet couch ottoman (yes, velvet…a terrible cat owner choice, I know) of the hair my two gray kitties are constantly leaving everywhere. It takes a bit of practice to get the hang of using this roller — at first, I thought you only brushed down in one direction, and was confused why it wasn’t picking up hair. It’s important to do a push-and-pull brushing in both directions so it actually pulls the hair inside, which does require you to apply a bit of pressure. Afterward, you’ll just dump out the hair that’s been trapped inside. The ChomChom is best for large flat surfaces like couches and beds.”
Promising review: “Where has this been all my cat-loving life? Sticky rollers work fine for clothes, but this is the only product that has ever COMPLETELY removed all the cat hair from my bed. I have a long-haired 20-pound tabby, and if you run your hands up his back a few times and fling the hair everywhere, it looks like it’s snowing — he never stops shedding no matter what I do. After using the ChomChom, I can put on a black dress and roll around on my bed and not get a single hair on me. It’s absolutely amazing. Everyone is getting one for Christmas, even if they don’t have a pet. I don’t care — it’s THAT good.” — DH

Mini Pet Hair Remover
And a mini pet hair remover for those pesky embedded fur clumps that stay in your carpet even after repeated vacuum passes. Each edge of this genius gadget has a unique tooth length and density designed to work for different hair removal needs, so you can scrape it off large areas quickly, or just deep-clean that tricky spot.

See it in action on TikTok, where the reviewer uses it to clean dog fur off their car’s upholstery.
Promising review: “The best friend I ever bought!!?! I have two cats and two dogs and a lot of problems with pet hair. This MAGIC triangle is the best pet hair remover on the planet! I have tried combs, rollers, rakes, and vacuum cleaner attachments with marginal success. This tool 🔥 them all!!! Get this thing!!” — G. Gerard

Feliway Multi-Cat Calming Diffuser Kit
A Feliway multi-cat calming diffuser kit that’s perfect for parents of furry siblings who might not always get along, including those who just brought a new little guy home. This uses natural pheromones that mimic the calming ones a nursing mama cat would emit, so you can safely (and naturally) quell some of the chaos having several cats entails.

This starter kit gets you the diffuser head and one vial of Feliway; refills are also available on Amazon. Keep in mind that if you’re introducing a new cat, you should still take proper precautions like keeping them separate for a while, doing smell introductions first, etc.
Jenae says, “I recently adopted a new cat (the cute brown tabby above!) and had to do a slow introduction with my resident cat — and I have to say, the day I plugged in Feliway, the hissing from my new cat pretty much stopped. While I was doing other things to help ease the transition as well, I do believe Feliway had a huge impact on calming both of them down and making the introduction so successful (they’re already playing and starting to be buddies).”
Promising review: “I can’t express enough how much this has changed mine and my cats’ lives. Merging two households wasn’t easy on the cats. One male cat had a hard time moving into a new house with new pets. He had terrible behavior problems and would cause us and the other cats a lot of stress. His bullying led to the other two cats having health problems. He would get into moods where he would chase and attack the others and would not let up. We tried everything the vet suggested to reduce these incidences, but getting Feliway was the only thing that worked. He is a completely different cat now. He is calm and his outbursts rarely happen. He has become a couch cat and has turned into the sweetest boy. The other cats aren’t stressed anymore and neither are we. We have three diffusers in the three rooms we have had incidences in. It definitely has more of an affect on the male cats than the female. If you aren’t noticing a difference with one diffuser I would suggest getting a second. We couldn’t believe that this one product could fix everything, but it did. If he starts to act out again we check the diffusers, and sure enough, one of them will be out. If your cats are having any behavior problems or stress please try this!” — Kristine Spencer

Catnip Wall Mount
A catnip wall mount with four different flavored spheres of pure joy-inducing goodness — so there’s plenty to go around for the whole crew. The “plate” sticks to the wall, and each ball has 360-degree rotation. Your cats are gonna put the “cute” in charcuterie when they’re sampling this delicious treat, that’s for sure.

Amazon, www.amazon.com
Promising review: “I have this on the wall since at least 2 years and all the 5 cats (plus any fosters) just love it. When they first got it they drooled so much that there’s was a puddle on the floor under it! The little stick on thingy fell off quickly, but that was expected given the amount of use. After few years it’s still going strong, the cats always stop by for a few cheek roll… :)” — Steinberg
