A Magical Journey with Shrek
The Davis Musical Theatre Company (DMTC) is thrilled to bring the beloved and hilarious musical Shrek to the stage. This heartwarming and entertaining production is set to captivate audiences from April 24 through May 17 at the Jean Henderson Performing Arts Center. The show features music by Jeanine Tesori and a book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire. It is directed by Brian McCann, with musical direction by Montana Monce and choreography by Pamela Lourentzos. “Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek…” So begins the tale of a grumpy but kind-hearted ogre who finds himself in the middle of a magical adventure. Alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who refuses to be rescued, Shrek must face a variety of challenges. This includes a short-tempered villain, a cookie with a personality, and a host of other fairy tale misfits. Together, they create a mess that calls for a real hero—and Shrek is just the one to step up.

Performance Schedule
Shrek will run from Friday, April 24, through Sunday, May 17. The show is scheduled for:
- Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.
- Sundays at 2:00 p.m.
All performances take place at the Jean Henderson Performing Arts Center, located at 607 Pena Dr., #10, in Davis.
Tickets and Information
Tickets for the show are available for purchase at the venue, online at dmtc.org, or by calling (530) 756-3682. General admission tickets cost $20, while students and seniors (age 55 and up) can enjoy discounted prices at $18 per ticket. There is a $2 facility fee per ticket when purchased online or over the phone.
