Galaxy Book6 Edge Unveiled: Snapdragon X2 Elite, 16″ OLED, Design & Price Revealed

Samsung has been quietly refining its approach to crafting premium Windows laptops, and the Galaxy Book6 Edge seems to be another significant step in that direction. Before the official announcement, a listing on a German retailer, Cyberport, has already provided a detailed glimpse into the device, including high-quality renders.

According to the listing, the Galaxy Book6 Edge is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite (X2E-88-100) chip. This ARM-based processor has become increasingly relevant in the world of Windows laptops, especially for users who value extended battery life without compromising performance. The inclusion of this chip suggests that Samsung is targeting a market that values efficiency and portability.

The display is another standout feature. It features a 16-inch OLED panel with WQXGA resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This combination should provide a smooth experience for both everyday tasks and media consumption. Given Samsung’s reputation for producing high-quality displays, there are certainly high expectations for this laptop.

Battery life is also a key selling point. The listing claims up to 22 hours of usage on a single charge. While real-world performance might vary, even a slightly lower figure would still place the Galaxy Book6 Edge among the top contenders in terms of battery longevity. The device weighs 1.55kg, which isn’t the lightest option available, but it should still be manageable for daily use.

On the connectivity front, the right side of the laptop includes a USB-A port, a 3.5mm jack, and an SD card slot. Meanwhile, the left side houses an HDMI port and two USB-C ports. This configuration might seem standard, but many slim laptops have reduced their number of ports in recent years. The Galaxy Book6 Edge appears to strike a balance between design and functionality, making it a practical choice for users who need a variety of ports.

Priced at €2,199, the Galaxy Book6 Edge is positioned firmly in the premium segment. It will likely compete directly with devices like the MacBook Air and other thin and light laptops. Although Samsung has not officially announced the release, the amount of information that has already surfaced suggests that the launch is imminent.
