Megyn Kelly made a strong statement about Olivia Wilde’s recent appearance at the San Francisco International Film Festival, expressing concern over the actress’ “skeletal” look. The 55-year-old journalist criticized Wilde’s physical appearance, which has raised new health concerns among fans and critics alike.
The controversy began when Wilde, 42, appeared at the event, drawing attention for her extremely thin frame. Kelly, during an episode of The Megyn Kelly Show on April 30, shared her thoughts on a viral video of Wilde, stating that she looked “skeletal” and even compared her to “a corpse with very sullen eyes.”
“People are saying, ‘Oh, it’s the camera angle?’ There’s a video. I watched the video. She looks skeletal. She looks like she should go into the hospital right now,” Kelly said.
She continued, describing how Wilde’s face resembled that of someone suffering from anorexia. “Like the eyeballs sticking out the way they do on a true anorexic, who there’s nothing left but skin and bones, and that’s what her face looks like, just skin and bones and absolutely no fat, which you do need for beauty. She looks truly unwell.”
Kelly also suggested that Wilde might be using Ozempic, a medication often used for weight loss. “There appear to be some people in Hollywood who can take Ozempic and look good, like, I’m assuming, all of the Kardashians,” she said. “And then there are these people who probably had an eating disorder anyway, you know what I mean, and for whom this drug has allowed them to take it to a place that is truly sick. This is just my opinion.”

This wasn’t the first time Wilde’s appearance sparked public concern. Earlier in April, during the premiere of The Invite, many viewers were shocked by her thin look. Some described her as looking “unrecognizable,” with one critic writing, “WHO IS THAT?! She looks sick,” while another commented, “Omgggggg EAT SOMETHING this is horrendous!!!!” A third user joked, “Dude all of Hollywood is made up of Ozempic skeletons 💀.”
Despite the backlash, Wilde has not publicly addressed the comments. However, she recently shared photos on Instagram showing her in a more positive light. In the images, posted on April 30, Wilde appeared happy and healthy, smiling as she shared behind-the-scenes footage from the press tour of her latest film.
In one photo, she was seen laughing with co-star Greta Lee on the red carpet, wearing a white T-shirt and a half-up, half-down hairstyle. Another image showed her posing in front of a city backdrop, clearly in good spirits.

While the conversation around Wilde’s appearance continues, many fans and followers are hoping she will speak out about her well-being. For now, her recent social media posts suggest she is focusing on her work and maintaining a positive outlook.

As the discussion around celebrity health and body image remains a hot topic, the public continues to watch closely. Whether Wilde will address the rumors or continue to focus on her career remains to be seen.
