Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, a hit reality show set to film its ninth series in Malaysia, has revealed its lineup – and it’s one that has sparked some surprise. The Channel 4 programme has brought together a diverse group of competitors, including former controversial stars from Strictly Come Dancing, Love Island, Towie, and even a man who went viral for his dance moves and distinctive haircut in Ibiza.
Among the 14 celebrities are the show’s first-ever trans participant, as well as a boxer, a former rugby player, a US singer, and several influencers. Here’s a closer look at the cast members who will face the challenges of the jungle under the guidance of chief instructors Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham, Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox, Rudy Reyes, and Chris Oliver.
Giovanni Pernice

Former Strictly pro Giovanni Pernice is making a return to UK television on Celebrity SAS after not appearing since November 2023. He was dropped from the show after his celebrity partner Amanda Abbington withdrew and later raised concerns about his behavior. The broadcaster issued an apology to the actress and upheld some of her complaints against the Italian dancer but cleared him of the most serious allegations. A source said producers were “absolutely thrilled” to have signed him, noting his popularity among fans and his physical fitness from years of professional dance training.
Thomas Skinner

Another controversial addition from Strictly, Tom Skinner was eliminated early last season after being paired with Amy Dowden. He claimed he was unfairly eliminated and skipped out on returning for the final. An anonymous email suggested he received more votes than appeared, but the BBC denied any discrepancies in the voting process. Producers have not commented further on the matter.
JoJo Siwa

American singer and former child star JoJo Siwa has signed up for her third British reality show in a year after appearing on both CBB and Celebrity Bake Off. An insider revealed that she impressed Channel 4 bosses during her time on Celebrity Bake Off and is seen as natural talent in front of the camera. She also has UK ties, having found love with fellow CBB housemate Chris Hughes.
Amy Childs

Original Towie star Amy Childs, known for her spin-off from 2011 to 2012, is set to test her limits on the show. The influencer and model returned to the show that made her famous in 2020 and met her now-husband Billy Delbosq. She is keen to prove to herself and her children that she has what it takes.
Ibiza Final Boss

One of the more surprising additions is Jack Kay, known as ‘Ibiza Final Boss.’ He rose to fame after going viral for his dance moves and bowl haircut, attracting millions of views on Instagram. His social media presence is massive, with 221k followers on Instagram and 1.5 million on TikTok. Producers hope his participation could generate memes and boost the show’s social media presence.
Ella Morgan

Married at First Sight UK star Ella Morgan is set to make history as Celeb SAS’s first-ever trans competitor. She has also appeared on Celebs Go Dating and is described as a “tough cookie” ready to take on the challenges of the show.
Phil Vickery

Former England rugby player Phil Vickery, who was part of the 2003 World Cup-winning squad, has also joined the lineup. He won the 2011 series of Celebrity Masterchef and is known for his nickname “raging bull.”
Nicola Adams

Olympic gold medallist Nicola Adams is another tough athlete joining the competition. The former professional boxer held the WBO female flyweight title and retired undefeated. She also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing as part of the first same-sex couple.
Konan

Konan, half of hip-hop duo Krept & Konan, is making his primetime television debut. He has a successful music career, including a MOBO award and a British Empire Medal for services to music and the community.
Sam Wolfenden

Sam Wolfenden, known as “the world’s hottest farrier,” has a thriving social media career. He regularly posts videos of his work on Instagram and is eager to showcase his physical strength and vulnerabilities on the show.
Tyrique Hyde

Love Island star Tyrique Hyde is another reality TV veteran joining the lineup. He recently started a relationship with fellow Islander Samie Elishi and is known for his no-holds-barred stream videos.
George Baggs

George Baggs, known for his appearances on Gogglebox, is stepping away from light comedy skits to take on the heavy-duty tests of Celeb SAS.
Anna Woolhouse

Broadcast journalist Anna Woolhouse is best known for her work on Sky Sports and is making her reality TV debut on Celebrity SAS.
Adeola Patreonne

Influencer Adeola Patreonne completes the lineup. With over 675k followers across platforms, she has a strong online presence and has appeared on various Channel 4 digital shows.
