Bianca Dye Steps In as KIIS FM Breakfast Guest Host

Bianca Dye Steps into KIIS FM Breakfast Slot

Bianca Dye is set to take over the KIIS FM breakfast slot from May 18, marking a significant move in her long and varied career in radio and television. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Dye brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep connection to the Australian radio scene.

Dye, who is 51 years old, is best known for her role as one of the founding presenters on Nova 96.9 in Sydney. She has also made waves with her recent appearance on The Golden Bachelor in 2025. Her decision to join KIIS FM was announced via Instagram, where she shared the news alongside Mike ‘E’ Etheridge.

Dye has a long-standing friendship with Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, with the trio having started their careers in radio around the same time three decades ago. This connection should help her transition smoothly into her new role. Additionally, Dye is well acquainted with the Kyle & Jackie O team, which is expected to ease her integration into the KIIS FM lineup.

Her recent appearance on the Kyle & Jackie O show during her time on The Golden Bachelor highlights her versatility and ability to engage with different audiences. The KIIS FM breakfast gig became available after the long-time radio duo Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson had a dramatic fallout live on air on February 20, leading to the show being taken off the airwaves.

A Career Spanning Decades

Dye’s career in radio began in 1996 when she worked as a promotions manager and night time announcer at a radio station on Queensland’s Fraser Coast. She later moved to 101.3 Sea FM in Gosford on the New South Wales Central Coast, where she co-hosted the station’s breakfast show.

Her profile rose significantly in the late 1990s when she hosted a nationally networked evening show called The Nitemix Across Australia with Bianca Dye. This led to her joining Nova, where she remained until 2007 before returning to the Gold Coast for a brief period co-hosting the Hot Tomato breakfast show.

In 2009, Dye relocated to Wollongong in the Illawarra to take up a job as a breakfast presenter at i98FM, where she stayed until 2015. She returned to the Gold Coast in December 2015 to co-host 92.5 Gold FM’s breakfast program over the Christmas/New Year period and joined the station as afternoon drive announcer in 2016.

In early 2017, Dye replaced popular radio host Robin Bailey on 97.3 FM’s breakfast program in Brisbane, remaining until 2019 when Bailey returned to the station.

A Television Presence

Dye’s career has not been limited to radio. She has also made several TV appearances, including hosting Access All Areas on Arena from 2000-2004, co-hosting a regional entertainment show on WIN Television, and appearing on shows such as Today, Nine News Now, A Current Affair, and 20 to 1.

Her most recent TV appearance on The Golden Bachelor saw her vying for the heart of a silver fox named Bear Myrden, but it wasn’t to be. Despite this, Dye remains a familiar face in Australian media, known for her engaging personality and professional expertise.

A New Chapter

In addition to her new role on KIIS FM, Dye will co-host the inaugural 2026 Australian Audio Awards on May 26 with Mitch Churi, who previously hosted nights on the KIIS FM network. This further cements her status as a respected figure in the Australian radio and media landscape.

Dye’s journey through various stations and cities—from Sydney to Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Central Coast, and the Illawarra—has given her a unique perspective and a broad understanding of the industry. Her work on Nova from 2001 until 2006 earned her four Australian Commercial Radio Awards, making her the only female presenter in commercial radio to achieve this feat.

As she steps into her new role, Dye is poised to bring her experience, energy, and charm to the KIIS FM breakfast slot, continuing her legacy in Australian radio.
