A New Chapter for Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen
After 18 years of marriage, actor Jason Biggs and his wife, actress Jenny Mollen, have officially separated. The news was confirmed by a representative for the couple, who are reportedly on “great terms” and focused on co-parenting their two sons, Sid, 12, and Lazlo, 8.
The pair first met on the set of the 2008 film My Best Friend’s Girl, and their relationship quickly blossomed into a long-term commitment. Despite the split, they continue to maintain a strong bond, with a source close to the couple stating that they are “very much connected” and will likely remain on excellent terms.
A History of Love and Family
Their journey together began in 2007 when filming for My Best Friend’s Girl took place in Boston. Just five months later, the couple announced their engagement, and they eloped on April 23, 2008, in Los Angeles. They later held a more formal wedding ceremony in California’s Napa Valley in July of the same year.
In February 2014, the couple welcomed their first son, Sid, and in October 2017, they had their second son, Lazlo. The family moved from Los Angeles to New York City in 2015 and eventually settled in Manhattan.
Jason Biggs: From Teen Icon to Hollywood Star
Jason Biggs, born in New Jersey, began his acting career at a young age. He started appearing in commercials at the age of five and by the time he was 12, he had already appeared on Broadway and in a TV series. At 16, he landed a role on the soap opera As the World Turns, which earned him a Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Younger Actor.
However, it was his role as Jim Levenstein in the 1999 teen comedy American Pie that truly launched his career. The film became a massive hit, grossing over $320 million worldwide on a modest budget of just $15 million. Biggs reprised his role in the film’s two sequels and continued to appear in various films and television shows.
Jenny Mollen: A Career in Comedy and Writing
Jenny Mollen, 46, began her career in 2000 and has since appeared in numerous films and TV shows. She guest-starred in three episodes of the supernatural series Angel before meeting Biggs on the set of My Best Friend’s Girl. The couple also co-starred in the 2016 film Amateur Night.
Mollen has also made a name for herself as a writer. In 2012, she started writing a humorous column for the website The Smoking Jacket and an advice column for Playboy. Two years later, she released a book titled I Like You Just the Way I Am: Stories About Me and Some Other People, which became a New York Times bestseller. The book included a controversial anecdote about hiring a prostitute while on a trip to Las Vegas to surprise her husband for his 30th birthday.
Despite the backlash, Biggs publicly supported his wife, emphasizing their strong relationship.
A Strong Public Image
The couple was often seen as one of the most stable marriages in celebrity circles. Mollen frequently posted tributes to Biggs on social media, sharing heartfelt and humorous messages. In November 2025, she shared a post on Instagram with a photo captioned, “A totally approachable couple not trying to seduce you.”
Their most recent public appearances were at the Torino Film Festival in Italy in November 2025, the New York Fashion Week’s Monse show in September, and the US Open that same month.
Moving Forward Together
While the separation marks a new chapter in their lives, both Biggs and Mollen have expressed their commitment to co-parenting their children and maintaining a positive relationship. Their story serves as a reminder that even in the spotlight, love and partnership can evolve in unexpected ways.
