John Travolta’s Stylish Red Carpet Debut at LA Premiere
John Travolta made a striking appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of his new film Propeller One-Way Night Coach, where he was seen alongside Ella Bleu. The event took place on Thursday, and Travolta, 72, continued to showcase his unique style with yet another beret. This fashion choice had previously gone viral during the Cannes Film Festival, drawing both admiration and some playful teasing from fans.
Travolta looked dapper in a black three-piece suit paired with a crisp white shirt, a tie, and a polka-dot pocket square. His facial hair was neatly groomed and dyed a dark brown, which has sparked considerable attention on social media. The overall look was completed with the quirky beret, making him stand out on the red carpet.
Ella Bleu, who stars as ‘Doris’ in Travolta’s upcoming movie, turned heads in a black Chanel tweed mini dress. She added tights and towering heels to her outfit, while her glam make-up and long brunette hair tied back gave her an elegant appearance.

Travolta and Ella share a special connection, as they are the parents of Ben, 15, and the late Jett, who passed away in 2009. Propeller One-Way Night Coach marks Travolta’s directorial debut and is based on a children’s book he wrote nearly 30 years ago in 1997. The film will be available to stream on Apple TV starting May 29.
According to the official synopsis, the movie follows the story of a young airplane enthusiast named Jeff (played by newcomer Clark Shotwell) and his mother (Kelly Eviston-Quinnett) as they embark on a one-way cross-country odyssey to Hollywood, turning a simple flight into the trip of a lifetime.
Travolta’s eye-catching beret and dyed beard combo made a strong impression at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month. He was mercilessly roasted by fans for wearing not one but three versions of the French-style cap at various events.

In an interview with CNN, Travolta addressed the chatter surrounding his newfound love for berets. He explained that there was a specific reason for choosing this headgear for his directorial debut. “The old school directors wore berets and glasses. And I thought, that’s what I’m doing,” he said, referencing his role as a director for Propeller One-Way Night Coach.
He added that the striking look would help him remember the event in the future. “I’ve been around for over 50 years doing movies, but I can’t tell, when I look back, the difference between the events.” Travolta also mentioned that he looked up pictures of famous filmmakers before him to capture the essence of an old-school director.
“I’m gonna do an homage to being a director,” he said of his catchy red carpet look. “So I’m gonna play the part of being a director and then when I look back, I’ll know, ‘Oh, that was Propeller One-Way Night Coach, that was Cannes, that was when I won the Palme d’Or.’ And I will have vividness of it.”
