Bunnie Xo may have subtly hinted at her estranged husband, Jelly Roll, just weeks before news of their divorce became public. The podcast host, 46, shared a video on Instagram on May 16 showing herself walking past a row of bright blue trash cans. In the clip, Bunnie wore black, high-waisted bell-bottoms with a silver lightning bolt design and a black tube top, carrying a simple black bag. The background music was a high-energy cover of The Beatles’ “Come Together.”
“I hate when my exes ruin a good shot,” she captioned the post, seemingly referring to her past relationships as something less than ideal.
Jelly Roll filed for divorce from the “Dumb Blonde” host on May 18 in Williamson County, Tennessee, just two days after Bunnie Xo’s controversial Instagram post.
According to sources, the split was mutual, and both parties are handling it privately as a family. The country singer cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the sudden breakup and listed their separation date as May 9.
The couple had been married for nearly 10 years, having tied the knot on August 31, 2016. They were just months away from celebrating their 10th anniversary.
The pair met just one year prior to their marriage and quickly became a family, including Jelly Roll’s children from previous relationships, Bailee Ann DeFord and Noah Buddy DeFord.
Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll had previously expressed their hopes of starting a family together. They openly discussed their journey with IVF after Bunnie Xo faced difficulties conceiving.

As the couple’s separation gained attention, details about Jelly Roll’s past infidelity during their marriage resurfaced. Bunnie Xo detailed their relationship struggles in her memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic.
In the book, the former stripper revealed that Jelly Roll had an affair lasting 10 months in 2018, which she eventually forgave him for.
“When a man puts you through something like that, you never stop loving them, you just love them differently,” she wrote. “Your heart is more guarded. Less trusting. Cracked.”
