A Heartwarming Gesture on a Plane Seat
A simple handwritten note left on a plane seat has captured hearts online after a passenger shared their unexpected experience on Reddit. In a viral post shared on Tuesday, a user going by the name u/Belcuor revealed how they were deeply touched after finding a personal message waiting for them on a Delta One flight to Amsterdam.
The note, signed by a crew member named Sebastian, offered a warm and thoughtful compliment alongside well wishes for the journey ahead. It read: “Miss, I have to say you’re probably one of the best dressed passengers I’ve ever had the pleasure to serve. You look absolutely fantastic! I hope your time in Amsterdam is lovely! P.S. The Keukenhof Garden is now open! -Sebastian.”
According to the post’s caption, the moment occurred shortly after the pandemic, when the passenger was finally able to take a trip that had previously been cancelled. Reflecting on the experience, they explained: “This makes me smile to this day. Right after the pandemic, we flew to Amsterdam on a canceled trip we had planned a while ago.”
Despite the personal nature of the gesture, the passenger noted they never really had the chance to properly meet the crew member who left the message. They added that their Delta One purser on the flight was a different person, writing: “This note was on my seat and barely got to know him as our Delta One purser was someone else (a lady whose name I can’t recall). Good wishes to Sebastian wherever he is!”
The small act of kindness clearly left a lasting impression, with the passenger admitting the note still brings a smile long after the journey ended. After being shared online, the post quickly gained traction. It has since received more than 1,500 upvotes and sparked dozens of comments from other users.
