Trump’s ‘Bruised’ Hands Spark Health Fears Ahead of King Charles Visit: ‘He’s Decaying’

Donald Trump and King Charles came together for a historic meeting at the White House on Monday, April 27. The 79-year-old president and the 77-year-old monarch were seen posing for photos with their respective spouses, Melania Trump and Queen Camilla, all of whom displayed wide smiles. However, what caught the attention of many was the appearance of Trump’s hands, which looked swollen and discolored.

In one video that went viral on social media, Trump’s hands appeared bruised and deeply red. This has sparked discussions among fans and observers alike. Some have taken to online platforms to comment on the situation, with one user jokingly suggesting, “You’d think he punched the assassin or something … Nope.” Another person wrote, “The Trump presidency is turning into a medical thriller,” while another remarked, “Man’s literally decomposing from the inside out in real time. Yeah, he doesn’t have much time left on this earth…. I’ll give him 9-12 months at most.”

A third commenter added, “Trump can cover it up, his hand bruise with makeup, but he won’t get rid of it and it’s great that’s happening to a vain and insecure brat like him.”

Trump has often been seen covering up his bruised hands with either bandages or makeup during public appearances. This has led to some speculation about his health. One person on X wondered, “Does it look more swollen than usual or am I crazy?” Another joked, “And he looks especially Oompah Loompah’ish today,” referring to his orange tone.

The President’s health has been a topic of discussion over the past year. In July 2025, he was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition that causes swelling and discoloration in certain parts of the body. While Trump’s puffy hands are often the focus of conversation, King Charles’ fingers have also been a point of interest. His hands are sometimes referred to as “sausage fingers” due to their swelling.

GP Chun Tang, medical director at Pall Mall Medical in Manchester, U.K., previously explained why the royal’s hands are often red and irritated. “Puffy fingers are a symptom of water retention, which can be caused by numerous health conditions,” he told Daily Mail in December 2025. “This condition arises due to inflammation and can be a result of arthritis, multiple bacterial infections or even TB. Other possibilities include high salt levels, allergic reactions, medicinal side effects, injury, and autoimmune disease,” the physician added.

Charles announced his cancer diagnosis in 2024, adding another layer of complexity to the ongoing discussions about his health.
