King Charles Too Busy for Grandkids – Harry’s Outraged

A Historic Visit with Tensions at Home

King Charles is preparing for a significant moment in his reign as he embarks on a state visit to the United States. This trip, which will see him meet with former President Donald Trump, aims to mend the strained relationship between the UK and the US during the ongoing tensions surrounding the Iran war. However, the monarch’s focus is not solely on international diplomacy; there is another crucial relationship that requires attention — his bond with his son, Prince Harry, and his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

A High-Stakes Relationship

As the King and Queen prepare for their four-day visit to the US, including stops in Washington DC, New York, and Virginia, it has been reported that Charles is choosing not to meet with his son following Harry’s recent “quasi-royal” tour of Australia. The decision comes amid growing concerns about the state of their relationship, which has been further complicated by Harry’s comments about royal life.

Beyond Repair

Insiders suggest that the 77-year-old monarch was unimpressed by the tour, which disrupted the agreements made during the 2020 Sandringham Summit. The late Queen Elizabeth had previously stated that there could be “no half in, half out” when Meghan and Harry decided to leave royal life in the UK to move to Montecito, California. This event became known as “Megxit.”

Adding to the tension, Charles is reportedly upset by a series of remarks Harry made about his experiences as a royal during his time in Australia.

Harry’s Remarks

During a speech at the InterEdge Summit in Melbourne, where tickets were sold for up to $2400 per person, the Duke of Sussex shared his feelings about being a working royal. He revealed that he never wanted this role, linking his reluctance to the death of his mother, Princess Diana.

“I don’t want this job. I don’t want this role,” he said. “Wherever this is headed, I don’t like it. It killed my mum, and I was very much against it.”

At another event for charity Movember, Harry also spoke about his desire to improve upon his father’s parenting approach, crediting therapy for helping him to “cleanse himself of the past.”

Harry’s Ultimatum

According to royal insiders, these comments have deeply affected Charles, leading to the cancellation of any planned reunion. The source claims that Harry cannot comprehend why his children’s grandfather would be on the same turf without making time to see them.

“Harry knows the stakes are high for the US and UK on this trip, but in his mind that makes it even more urgent that they see their grandad. What if the war escalates and travel becomes impossible?” the source added.

It has been nearly four years since Harry last saw his children, and he is determined to change that.

“He may regret it, but he told Charles that not seeing Archie and Lilibet on this trip will be a red line. It will seal the deal on the breakdown of their relationship and there won’t be any going back. It may be the last chance Charles ever gets to see them,” the source said.

Charles, however, is not inclined to accept ultimatums. He had considered a slight detour to California after the White House dinner, but this plan has been abandoned due to the controversy surrounding Harry and Meghan’s Australian tour. With the monarch focused on diplomatic efforts between two countries, he cannot afford to be drawn into personal drama.
