Brooke Hogan Dismisses Rumors of Affair with Co-Star
Brooke Hogan has recently addressed and dismissed rumors that she is having an affair with her HGTV co-star, Scott McGillivray. The 37-year-old, who is married to NHL player Steven Oleksy, is currently working alongside McGillivray on the renovation competition series Rock the Block.
The pair has been noted for their strong chemistry on the show, which has led to speculation online about a potential romantic relationship. However, Hogan took to social media to firmly shut down these claims. In a post, she wrote, “There’s been a lot of people commenting on posts of me and Scott suggesting we have a ‘thing’ going on.”
She continued, “And honestly, it’s just mean and hateful. (But sorry we’re so funny and adorable on camera.)”
Hogan then added, “So for those people – I’ll just leave you with these pictures of Scott and my husband. If you’re worried about anyone, worry about my hockey player husband stealing his sweet Canadian heart.”
In the post, Hogan shared several photos of McGillivray with her husband and their twin toddlers, Oliver and Molly. Oleksy also shared the post on his own Instagram page, further reinforcing the couple’s stance against the rumors.
McGillivray, who married his wife Sabrina in June 2008, has two daughters, Myah and Layla. The couple has been together for over a decade, and there has been no indication of any issues in their marriage.
Hogan and McGillivray are part of one of four teams competing on the latest season of Rock the Block. Other celebrity teams include Survivor’s Kim Spradlin and Chelsea Meissner, Taniya Nayak and Drew Lachey, and Mina Starsiak Hawk and Vernon Davis.
Each team has seven weeks and a budget of $275,000 to transform identical cul-de-sac builds, with the best design winning the season.
Hogan married Oleksy in 2022, and the couple welcomed twins in January 2025. They currently reside in Nashville, where Hogan runs her own interior design business.
In addition to her work in television and design, Hogan is also a singer and actress. She has released several albums and EPs over the years. Her career began on the reality show Hogan Knows Best, which featured her late father, wrestling legend Hulk Hogan.
She later starred in her own spin-off series, Brooke Knows Best, which ran for two seasons. After stepping away from reality TV for a while, Hogan made a return in 2018 with MTV’s The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars.
Hogan’s father passed away in 2023 at the age of 71 due to cardiac arrest. The two were estranged at the time of his death, and Hogan was not included in his will. Initially, she remained quiet about the loss but later took to social media to demand an autopsy as she processed the news.
She also held her own memorial for her father, choosing not to attend the funeral with family and friends at the Indian Rocks Baptist Church.
