Kylie Jenner’s daughter Stormi, 8, matches her TV career age

Kylie Jenner Reflects on Her Reality TV Journey and Motherhood

Kylie Jenner, the 28-year-old entrepreneur and mother of two, recently shared some heartfelt reflections on her early days in the spotlight during a new episode of the Therapuss podcast. The star, who is also the founder of the Khy brand, opened up about her journey as a young mom and the impact of her family’s reality television show.

Jenner, who has a daughter named Stormi, aged 8, and a son named Aire, aged four, mentioned that her firstborn child is nearly the same age she was when she first appeared on Keeping Up with the Kardashians (KUWTK). She told host Jake Shane, “I’m in [the] ‘I have an 8-year-old’ stage. She’s eight years old. She’s my age when we started KUWTK, almost.”

The show, which premiered on E! in October 2007, originally aired when Jenner was 10 years old. However, she clarified that she was actually nine when the cameras started rolling. This revelation highlights how quickly her life changed once the cameras were on.

As a young mother, Jenner shared her thoughts on balancing motherhood with her career. She said, “I remember when I had [Stormi], and I used to be like, ‘I’m gonna be 28 with an 8-year-old.’” This statement shows the pressure and responsibility she felt at such a young age.

Jenner’s children are the result of her relationship with Travis Scott, 35. The couple welcomed Stormi in 2018 and Aire in 2020. Since their breakup in 2023, Jenner has been dating actor Timothee Chalamet.

Memories from the Set

In the interview, Jenner revealed that she has very few memories of life before the camera crew became a part of her daily routine. She described the experience as natural, saying, “They were just there one day in the house and everyone made it seem really normal, so it felt pretty natural, I will say.”

The success of Keeping Up with the Kardashians led to a cultural phenomenon that lasted for 14 seasons, from 2007 to 2021. After the show ended, the family began filming a docuseries called The Kardashians for Hulu.

Jenner expressed her fondness for the earlier seasons, saying, “The earlier seasons were the best and [I have] so many memories.” She also reflected on how the show brought her family closer together, both during its run and even now.

Personal Struggles and Triumphs

During the conversation, Jenner shared some personal moments that highlight her strength and resilience. She admitted that she “freaked out” when she found out she was pregnant at the age of 19. The news came as a shock, and she was terrified to tell her parents, Kris and Caitlyn Jenner.

“I was freaking out. I was really scared to tell my parents. I was really scared,” she emphasized. Despite her fears, she felt a deep sense of determination. “But there was something just inside of me that knew that I wanted to do this, and I had to make a decision for myself. And even if I have to do this alone, or however, this is the choice that I’m going to make.”

When she finally told her parents, she was relieved to find that neither of them was upset. This moment marked a turning point in her life, giving her the confidence to move forward.

Jenner also spoke about her second pregnancy with Aire, revealing that she was placed on bed rest due to complications. She explained, “I was three centimeters dilated for like a month and a half, two months, the baby was falling out.” This experience was both physically and emotionally challenging, but she remained strong throughout.

Looking Ahead

Despite the challenges, Jenner continues to thrive in both her personal and professional life. Her journey as a mother and a businesswoman serves as an inspiration to many. As she moves forward, she remains focused on her goals and the future of her family.
