What is The Traitors Australia?
The Traitors Australia is a reality game show based on the Dutch format De Verraders. Contestants are isolated in a secret mansion, competing for a cash prize composed of silver bars. However, some participants are secretly assigned the role of “Traitors,” whose goal is to eliminate other contestants, known as “Faithfuls,” without being discovered.
The Faithfuls must identify and vote out the Traitors during banishment ceremonies, while both groups participate in challenges to build the prize pool. Players can sometimes win protection, which shields them from elimination during night phases. If all Traitors are banished, the Faithfuls share the prize, but if any Traitors survive until the end, they win.
A New Season on the Horizon
The first two seasons of The Traitors Australia were hosted by Rodger Corser. In October 2023, Network 10 announced that the show had not been renewed, but it could potentially return. Now, the third season is set to premiere in August 2026, although the exact date has not yet been confirmed.
For those who want to catch up, previous seasons of the show are available to watch on 10Play.
