MAFS Bride Brook Crompton Quits Again Amid Bullying Storm

MAFS Bride’s Dramatic Disappearing Act Shocks Cast

A dramatic moment unfolded during the latest commitment ceremony on Married At First Sight when contestant Brook Crompton, 27, abruptly left the proceedings and never returned, leaving her co-stars and her on-screen husband, Chris Nield, 31, in stunned silence.

The incident occurred as Brook and Chris faced the show’s experts, Mel Schilling, John Aiken, and Alessandra Rampolla, to discuss their relationship and recent behaviour. The focus quickly turned to Brook’s conduct at the previous week’s dinner party, where she had been accused of bullying fellow participants.

Initially, Brook attempted to set a positive tone by offering a sincere apology. “I’m extremely sorry for my actions,” she stated to the group. “I feel so much guilt and regret; I took things too far. There is no excuse for that behaviour.”

However, the apology soon took a turn as Brook expressed her frustrations with Chris, feeling he wasn’t pulling his weight in their relationship. “There are some actions that I can’t move past,” she told the experts. “I have had to hold his hand for the past few weeks, and I did not come here to do that.”

Expert Mel Schilling, however, was not convinced by Brook’s explanation and directly challenged her. “Just an observation, Brook,” Mel began. “You say you felt guilty about leaving Chris, so wanted to come back. But observing you coming into the Dinner Party, you quickly acknowledged him and then shifted your focus.” Mel continued, “You didn’t acknowledge Chris much, so can you see that it may have looked like you came to the Dinner Party to have a go at people.”

Brook disagreed with Mel’s assessment, attempting to downplay her behaviour at the dinner party. “It was a tough week, and I wasn’t feeling myself,” she explained. “It was a difficult situation that I struggled to get past in this experiment. I went out of my way to apologise.”

Mel remained firm, calling out Brook for what she perceived as deflection. “In all my years working on MAFS, I have never experienced a woman be so vicious towards other women. It was relentless,” Mel stated emphatically. “To continue doing that for several hours without taking a breath, it was vicious.”

In a shocking twist, instead of responding to Mel’s pointed critique, Brook excused herself to visit the bathroom. After a considerable wait, it became clear she had no intention of returning. The other participants realised Brook had made a swift exit.

Groom Steve Powell quipped, “I think Brook is gone; I don’t think she is coming back. Runaway Bride 2!” John Aiken confirmed the situation, stating, “Brook’s bailed. Unfortunately, she is not coming back. She has decided to do a runner.” The cast speculated that her departure was a direct result of the intense questioning, suggesting she fled because “they were about to get into her.”

The emotional toll of Brook’s abrupt departure was evident on her husband, Chris, who was seen leaving the room in shock.

This dramatic exit follows a pattern of confrontational behaviour from Brook. It was only days prior that she and co-star Gia Fleur drew significant criticism from viewers for a verbal altercation with Stella Mickunaite and Alissa Fay during a dinner party.

The intensity of Brook’s actions had led to a wave of backlash online, prompting her to issue an apology via Instagram, attempting to address her on-screen conduct. However, her subsequent vanishing act at the commitment ceremony has undoubtedly left a lasting impression on the remaining participants and viewers alike.

Married At First Sight continues on Channel Nine.
