Emma Willis Favored to Host Strictly – Bookies Predict Her Partner

Emma Willis Emerges as Top Contender to Host Strictly Come Dancing

Emma Willis has emerged as the favorite to take over hosting duties for Strictly Come Dancing, with bookmakers highlighting her as a strong contender to replace Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly. The news has sparked excitement among fans, who are eager to find out who will step into the iconic roles left vacant by the duo.

Claudia, 54, and Tess, 57, stunned viewers in October last year when they announced their departure from the beloved dance show. Now, with the show set to return to screens soon, fans are desperate to know who will fill the void. Emma, 50, who has hosted shows like Big Brother, The Voice, and The Circle, has climbed to the top of the betting odds, according to Coral.

Emma is currently at 4-5 to land the role, while BBC Radio presenter Zoe Ball, 55, is seen as the frontrunner at 1-4. John Hill from Coral said: ‘Emma Willis is proving very popular in our next Strictly Come Dancing host betting. Our latest odds suggest Willis and Zoe Ball lead the race to replace Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.’

Other names in the running include Rylan Clark (3-1), Fleur East (4-1), Janette Manrara (4-1), Hanna Waddingham (5-1), Roman Kemp (5-1), Holly Willoughby (6-1), Alesha Dixon (8-1), Scott Mills (8-1), and Stacey Dooley (8-1).

Emma Celebrates 50th Birthday Amid Hosting Speculation

Emma recently celebrated her milestone 50th birthday with a lively party at Old Sessions House in Clerkenwell, a Grade II listed former courthouse. She was joined by her husband Matt Willis and celebrity friends, marking a memorable occasion for the TV star.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that the BBC is considering hiring three new presenters to replace Tess and Claudia for the 2026 series. According to The Sun, seven names are in the mix, with Alex Jones being the frontrunner. Other potential candidates include Emma, Zoe, Rylan, Alison Hammond, Angela Scanlon, and Fleur.

A source told the publication: ‘Alex is still very much the BBC’s favourite to land a hosting spot. The Beeb loves her and thinks she’d be perfect to take on Tess’s role on the floor. Talk recently has turned to whether they could bring in a third host to really freshen it up.’

Auditions and ‘chemistry’ tests for potential hosts are set to take place in April, following a postponement from January. The Daily Mail has contacted the BBC for comment.

Tess and Claudia Step Back, Leaving Room for New Talent

Tess and Claudia stepped back from the show after the most recent series concluded in December, with speculation growing about who will replace them. Recent reports suggest that Emma Willis and Zoe Ball are also strongly being considered for one of the hosting spots.

Emma recently took over from Zoe on BBC Radio 2 after she stepped down from the afternoon slot. Zoe has expressed her desire to take on the hosting job, having previously hosted the Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two until 2021.

A source said: ‘It’s a straight shoot-out between Zoe, who is the front-runner, and Emma. Only one will get it, not both.’ They added: ‘The senior execs want a traditional presenter working alongside a more left-field person, a female stand-up comedian. It’s felt the humour Claudia brought to the show, particularly in her “Claudatorium”, needs to carry on.’

Zoe Ball Expresses Interest in Hosting Role

Zoe has broken her silence on the rumors, stating that although she hasn’t been approached yet, she would love to take on the role. ‘Obviously there’s part of me that would love to do it,’ she said. ‘I love that show. I loved performing on it with Ian Waite, who is one of my best buddies. It’s so joyful.’

She cautioned, however, that stepping into the shoes of Claudia and Tess would be a massive challenge. ‘That show is a beast. Whoever gets to do it has a tough act to follow.’

Emma is best known for her work on The Voice and Love Is Blind UK, alongside her husband and Busted star Matt Willis, 42. Earlier this year, Zoe revealed her interest in the highly sought-after job of presenting Strictly Come Dancing. The speculation intensified when she stepped down from her Saturday Radio 2 slot, leaving her weekends open for the top telly job.
