Alec Baldwin Spots in Sydney’s Northern Beaches
Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin recently made an unexpected appearance in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, drawing attention from locals and fans alike. On Thursday, the 30 Rock star was seen browsing a pharmacy on Manly’s famous shopping strip, The Corso. His casual outing provided a rare glimpse into his personal life away from the spotlight.
Baldwin was spotted at Malouf Pharmacy, where he posed for selfies with staff members. A retail assistant at the chemist recognized the actor, leading to an amusing moment of recognition. Scarlett, an employee at the shop, shared the story with The Manly Daily. She explained that a fellow staffer initially thought she had seen the star, and after a brief pause, Baldwin confirmed his identity with a laugh.
Dressed in a black denim jacket, matching jeans, and a purple shirt, Baldwin looked far removed from his polished TV appearances. The interaction with the pharmacy staff quickly turned into a friendly encounter, with Baldwin taking pictures with all of the employees.

The shop managers also managed to convince the A-lister to vote for their pharmacy in the local business awards. It is reported that Baldwin also interacted with other shoppers along the retail strip, further highlighting his approachable and down-to-earth demeanor.
A New Chapter for Baldwin
In recent months, Baldwin has been making headlines for his decision to retire from acting and focus more on family life. The beloved actor has faced significant challenges since the tragic shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his film Rust, in which the gun was in his hand. The incident occurred four years ago and has left a lasting impact on him.
Following the tragedy, Baldwin spent more time at home with his wife, Hilaria, and their seven children. He spoke about this period during an interview on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, revealing his desire to step back from acting.
“I want to break away from acting in the future,” he said. “For me, because of the situation in New Mexico, that was very painful. I wound up staying home a lot. I was home with my kids for three and a half years.”

During this time, Baldwin hardly worked at all. He described how he became accustomed to being at home and no longer wanted to leave his house. “I don’t want to work anymore. I really don’t. I want to retire and stay home with my kids.”
Baldwin and Hilaria have seven children together: Carmen, 11; Rafael, nine; Leonardo, eight; Romeo, six; Eduardo, four; Maria, three; and Ilaria, two. He also shares his eldest daughter, Ireland, 30, with his ex-wife Kim Basinger.
Despite the legal challenges surrounding the Rust incident, Baldwin was legally cleared in 2024 in the involuntary manslaughter case. During the years of legal proceedings, his primary focus remained on the well-being of his family.
New Projects and Future Plans
Despite his retirement plans, Baldwin has not completely stepped away from the entertainment industry. He was recently announced as a co-star in the new film Kochroach, which is currently filming in Sydney. The American-produced crime film features US director Matt Ross and stars Chris Hemsworth and Taron Egerton.
This latest project marks a shift in Baldwin’s career, as he continues to explore new opportunities while balancing his personal life. His presence in Sydney has generated excitement among fans, who are eager to see how his next chapter unfolds.
