Delta Goodrem’s Eurovision hopes shine as she hits major milestone

Delta Goodrem’s Eurovision Journey and New Album Launch

Delta Goodrem has made a significant impact following her debut at the Eurovision Song Contest, not only on stage but also off it. Her performance has caught the attention of bookmakers, who have placed her second on the Eurovision odds table. With a 14 per cent chance of winning the trophy, Delta is seen as a strong contender for a top-five finish in the competition.

TAB has set Delta’s odds at $4.50 to win the Eurovision 2026 Grand Final, making her the clear second favourite behind Finland. This position is impressive considering she represents a country that has never won the contest. Her success reflects the growing momentum behind her Vienna campaign.

Delta’s semi-final performance was a major milestone, as she became the first Australian to reach the grand final in three years. The performance clip has already received over 55,000 likes on Instagram, placing her alongside other favorites like Albania, Romania, and Bulgaria.

The official music video for her entry “Eclipse” has gained over 1.5 million views on YouTube, with an additional 600,000 views on her personal channel. Combined with solid Spotify streaming numbers and movement on the ARIA charts, it’s evident that something is resonating with audiences.

In addition to her Eurovision hype, Delta has made a surprising move this week, which is unrelated to the song contest. She announced her seventh studio album, “Pure,” set for release on November 6. This marks the end of the longest gap in her career, with five and a half years since her previous album, “Bridge Over Troubled Dreams,” debuted at number one on the ARIA charts in 2021.

The announcement coincides with a time when the world is starting to take notice of her due to her prime-time performance broadcast to hundreds of millions at one of the world’s biggest live events. If the staging is any indication, Delta plans to make the most of this opportunity.

Insiders are already calling Australia’s entry one of the most visually ambitious Eurovision performances in recent years. The lyrics of “Eclipse” are built around the imagery of a solar eclipse, and her stage design features dramatic light beams, shadows, and swirling smoke to reflect that theme.

At the center of the performance, Delta wears a custom gown created by Australian fashion houses Velani by Nicky and House of Emmanuele. This intricate design took over 500 hours to create and features nearly 7,000 hand-embellished Swarovski crystals.
