Vivo V80 and S2 Models Spotted in IMEI Database

Vivo has introduced several devices within the V70 series, such as the Vivo V70, V70 Elite, and V70 FE. According to some reports, the brand may also be preparing to launch the V70 Lite, which could potentially mark the conclusion of the V70 series. This speculation arises from the recent appearance of the Vivo V80 in the IMEI database. Additionally, a new S-series phone has also been spotted in the same database.

A report that surfaced in April indicated that both the upcoming iQOO 16 and Vivo V80 had appeared in the GSMA IMEI database. It seems that the V80’s listing has now been updated with the model number V2630, according to a report by PassionateGeekz.

The Vivo S2 has also been identified in the IMEI database with the model number V2576. However, none of these listings have provided any technical details about the devices.

The Vivo S2 is expected to be the company’s effort to reintroduce the S-series to the Indian market after a seven-year hiatus since the launch of the Vivo S1 in 2019. It is likely that the S2 will be positioned as a mid-range device within Vivo’s extensive product lineup. This includes the X-series flagship phones, the V-series camera-focused sub-flagship models, the T-series mid-range performance-driven phones sold through Flipkart, and the Y-series entry-level and budget smartphones.

Regarding the Vivo V80, it is speculated to be based on the Vivo S60, which is anticipated to launch in China this month. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3-powered Vivo S60 is expected to feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 7,000mAh battery that supports 90W charging. It is also rumored to include a Sony IMX8-series periscope telephoto camera, an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner, a metal middle frame, and an IP68/69-rated dust and water-resistant chassis.
