The Disappearance of Lee Andrews
Katie Price’s husband, Lee Andrews, has been reported as a ‘missing person’ after no one has heard from the 43-year-old multimillionaire businessman since Wednesday night. Katie, who married Lee after only days of knowing him, revealed this information on her YouTube channel, stating that he was not simply taking a break from social media, but was actually missing.
Katie expressed her deep concerns, believing that Lee may have been kidnapped. According to her, the last FaceTime call they had showed Lee tied up in an old van with mesh windows, his hood up and panicking, saying, “They are coming for me.”
At around 10pm on Wednesday, when Lee was expected to have already traveled from Dubai to the UK to be with his wife, his location disappeared, and his messages, along with those from his family, were not delivered. Katie mentioned that she planned to file a missing persons report after discussing with authorities in the UAE, who also do not know Lee’s whereabouts.
The situation has become more complicated as an official report has been lodged by his family at the British Embassy in Dubai, where Lee has lived for 21 years. He was last seen at the airport, having shared a video of himself on Instagram. Lee was supposed to join Katie on Good Morning Britain for their first joint interview, but he failed to show up, leaving her to face the segment alone.
During the interview, Katie denied reports that a British man detained at the airport was Lee, claiming issues with his visa prevented him from boarding a flight. However, he had promised to come, and she defended him. When he did not arrive and she lost contact with him, Katie became deeply concerned.
A source close to Katie has stated that she is in constant contact with Lee’s family and is desperately worried. They added that she is mortified by the accusations that she might be involved in a stunt, emphasizing that she is not. This situation is described as worrying and upsetting.
In her vlog, Katie explained how she and Lee speak to each other constantly, suggesting that something really serious must have happened for him to go silent. She mentioned that Lee has been missing for three days, with the last contact being at 10 o’clock on Wednesday night. Lee was trying to get through the border in Dubai to join her, and this situation is disorienting.
Katie continued to express her concern, noting that she has not received any response to her messages, which only showed one tick. She is considering flying back to Dubai to assist the police, having initially left to be with her family and for work commitments. She gave Lee an ultimatum, stating that he must travel to England if he wanted to see her.
So far, a head of CID has not been able to track Lee, and Katie says there isn’t a record of him in any prison. She mentioned that the police in Dubai would not check his phone, which is unusual. If he was arrested, he should have been able to make a phone call; however, he hasn’t contacted anyone.
Fans of Katie have long questioned Lee due to the exposure of lies on his CV, which he blamed on a former personal assistant. His extravagant career claims included allegedly being a member of the board of advisors for the Labour Party and a director of philanthropy at The King’s Trust, both of which denied any affiliation with him.
Lee has also been accused of scamming numerous people, including ex-girlfriends, and is said to have served three months in jail last year for fraud. He has denied these allegations.
Katie’s loved ones have not hidden their disapproval, with her sister, Sophie, expressing frustration on their joint podcast about how Lee “winds [her] up” to the point where she cannot say his name.
Meanwhile, Lee’s past partners continue to speak out, with Alana Percival, whom Lee proposed to shortly before he did Katie, urging the TV personality to “run for the hills.” This weekend, after the alleged kidnapping came to light, Alana also mentioned that Lee pulled the same airport stunt on her a year ago, sharing screenshots of his messages at the time, in which he expressed regret over not being able to travel to her.
She also included a video, with Lee filming himself and explaining that he couldn’t get to the UK because there was a “flight risk.” Alana wrote: “Another time he ‘pretended’ to be coming to the UK to come and see me. Wearing his cap so facial recognition doesn’t get him hahaha. Lies, lies and more lies. Delusional is an understatement.”
Alana dated Lee for nine months, and he told her that he loved her “more than life itself.”
