The 77-year-old icon, known as the “Nature Boy,” took to social media to express his frustration, hinting at a long-standing family feud that has taken a toll on him.
Flair shared a series of posts, which have since been deleted, where he mentioned an individual who is using his trademark, “FLAIR.” He warned that he is represented by a highly experienced attorney, charging $1,000 per hour, who specializes in legal battles over trademark infringement.
Initially, Flair did not name his son, but he made it clear that the issue needed to be resolved by Monday, stating, “You know who I am talking about.” According to Fightful, the WWE legend later confirmed that he was referring to his son, David Fliehr. Fliehr’s LinkedIn profile lists him as part of the management team at Green Flair Recycling.
In a follow-up post, Flair clarified that he would not take legal action against his son. However, he emphasized that his son could not have the best of both worlds. “You’re 47 years old… now stand on your own two feet please,” he wrote.
On Saturday, Flair shared a photo of himself outside the hospital, revealing that he is dealing with significant health issues. “If you understood the health issues that I deal with and am currently dealing with, you would understand why I get frustrated in life with a lot of people,” he said. “I’m sorry for the frustration. I am taking time to focus on my health.”
Just minutes after posting the image, Flair uploaded a screenshot showing his health data, including an elevated heart rate.
Flair also mentioned that his relationship with David has been strained for nearly a decade. He urged his son to use his “god given name, Fliehr, which isn’t worth a cup of coffee.” Additionally, he told David, who once had a brief career as a wrestler, not to sell “robes that I let you use during your career as you have already sold one.”
He added, “I’m sorry and sad that it has come to this. I’ve tried my best to fix things over the years, only to be rejected because your wife runs your life.”
This is not the first time that Flair has faced serious health issues. In 2017, he came close to death after suffering multiple organ failure and was placed on life support in a medically-induced coma.
