Volkswagen ID. Buzz 2027 ‘Good Night’ Package Revealed

The Volkswagen ID. Buzz, which had a one-year hiatus, is back for 2027. Although it maintains its iconic exterior design, there have been significant changes inside and in the variant lineup. The revised range now includes several new models that bring the spirit of the original Microbus camper back to life.

Among the updated variants are the Pro S RWD, Pro S 4Motion, Tourer 4Motion, and Pro S Plus 4Motion. Two of these, the Pro S 4Motion and Tourer 4Motion, are entirely new additions. The Tourer 4Motion is particularly notable as it features the ‘Good Night Package’ from the Euro-spec ID. Buzz. This package includes a fold-out mattress, window blinds, front window ventilation panels, a folding table and chairs, and an ‘Overnight’ mode that enhances comfort during overnight camping trips.

In addition to these features, the Tourer 4Motion comes with 20-inch alloy rims in Dark Graphite, an electrochromic sunroof, a retractable tow hook, and captain chairs. Another exciting development is the introduction of one-pedal driving, which offers a more streamlined driving experience.

The ID.S6 software has also been upgraded to an Android-based system. This update brings a more responsive navigation interface and a redesigned vehicle settings page for easier access. Despite these improvements, the exterior remains unchanged, and monochrome color options are no longer available. All ID. Buzz models will now come with dual-tone color schemes, aligning more closely with the original Microbus’s iconic look.

There have been no changes to the electric drivetrain, and prices for the 2027 model have not yet been announced. However, updates are expected soon.

While the ID.4 is set to leave the market in 2026, Volkswagen is preparing a new version of its electric SUV. Details about this upcoming model are still scarce, but the company is working on a refreshed offering for customers.

Another highlight is the return of the Golf R Black Edition. This special edition continues to be available in S, SE, and Autobahn trims, with added features such as automatic high beam adjust and keyless entry now included in the base S variant. The Golf R Black Edition features blacked-out elements both inside and out. The Euro Style package removes the sunroof and replaces it with fabric ArtVelours sport seats and a lighter Akrapovic titanium exhaust.

With the return of the ID. Buzz and the Golf R Black Edition, along with the upcoming electric SUV, Volkswagen is offering a diverse range of options for drivers. Whether you prefer a hot hatch, an electric van, or an electric SUV, there’s something for everyone.
