Disney World is bringing back a ticket option that was once popular but had been restricted, starting later this summer. On Tuesday, the company revealed that it will begin offering a 2-day, 2-park ticket for its late summer and fall seasons. The tickets start at $199 and provide access to one day at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom and another day at EPCOT. However, the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are not included in this deal.
Previously, this 2-day ticket was only available to Florida residents. Now, the new offering will be open to the general public. The ticket deal will be available from August 3 to October 3.
This offer comes at an ideal time for Disney fans who also enjoy good food and wine, as the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival begins on August 27, which falls within the period covered by the ticket.
In addition to the 2-day deal, Disney World is also offering a 4-day, 4-park ticket called the “Magic Ticket.” This ticket allows guests to visit all four parks for $109 per day. The Magic Ticket is available from May 26 until September 26.
Meanwhile, starting on June 28, visitors to Disney World will no longer be able to take transportation from its retail and dining hub, Disney Springs, to the parks if they are not staying at one of the park’s resorts.
The policy change was first noticed through signage posted around Disney Springs, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Under the new rules, anyone without a confirmed resort booking, a dining reservation, or tickets for another Disney experience will not be allowed to board transportation at a Disney resort and ride it to the park.
Disney World provides free parking at Disney Springs and free transportation to the parks from the resorts in the area. Some travelers have taken advantage of this by parking at Disney Springs and using the resort transportation to reach the parks, avoiding the $35-per-day parking fee. This loophole will soon be closed.
According to the Palm Beach Post, the change aims to reduce the waiting time for Disney resort customers who need to board transportation to the parks.
To access the resort transportation now, guests will have to scan a MagicBand, Disney MagicMobile pass, or show their reservation details to a staff member before boarding.
