A Fun Rivalry and New Product Launch
Post Malone has always had a unique way of handling his friendly rivalry with comedian Shane Gillis. The two have developed a casual, almost legendary relationship, often settling their differences over drinks, especially when it comes to their competing NFL loyalties. Malone, who supports the Dallas Cowboys, and Gillis, a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, have turned their playful banter into a highlight of their ongoing partnership with Bud Light.
During a behind-the-scenes Q&A for the latest campaign, Malone shared how he and Gillis often unwind with a beer, making their interactions both entertaining and relatable. He mentioned, “I’d have a beer with Shane, just like I did yesterday and the day before that. If I have to tell you every time that Eagles fan calls me up every Sunday and says, ‘Eagles rock, Cowboys suck,’ we can settle it over a cold Bud Light. Just talk it out.”
This dynamic has become a key part of their collaborations, with their exchanges featuring prominently in multiple advertisements, including high-profile Super Bowl commercials in 2025 and 2026. Their partnership with Bud Light has been a long-standing one, spanning nearly a decade.
Introducing Bud Light x Posty Co. Minis
As part of his latest campaign with Bud Light, Post Malone is launching a new product called Bud Light x Posty Co. Minis, a limited-edition smaller can format. This innovative approach is designed to appeal to fans looking for a more convenient and refreshing drinking experience.
The new product will make its debut at the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, where Malone is set to headline on April 26. To build excitement around the launch, a themed pop-up experience titled “The Smallest Bar in the West” has opened near the festival grounds, offering fans an early taste of the campaign.
The mini packs are scheduled to roll out at participating retailers beginning May 4, giving fans across the country the chance to enjoy the new format.
Memories and Milestones
Beyond the campaign, Post Malone also reflected on personal milestones tied to Bud Light. One such moment was the wedding of songwriter Louis Bell on October 25, 2025. Bell has collaborated extensively with Malone, contributing to albums such as Twelve Carat Toothache, Austin, and F-1 Trillion.
Malone shared, “They brought in some Bud Lights for me, but everybody imbibed. I don’t know, there’s just so many moments of joy and moments of laughter and time shared with good friends and good buddies throughout my life, over a cold beer. And I couldn’t think of a better beer to consume during those very sweet and tender moments.”
Practicality Meets Innovation
Malone also explained the inspiration behind the smaller cans, emphasizing practicality. “I’m always looking for the coldest beer. And the best way to keep a beer cold is obviously putting it into a cooler,” he said. “But once you take it out, it gets warm quite quick. So maybe a smaller format. You just drink more of the smaller format. So that sorta inspired the whole bit, I supposed.”
