Ella Stiller’s rare red carpet moment at the Tony Awards

A Night of Glamour and Family Ties

Ella Stiller, the 24-year-old daughter of two of Hollywood’s most recognizable stars, made a solo appearance at the 79th Annual Tony Awards in New York City on Sunday. The event, often referred to as Broadway’s night of nights, saw Ella step out in style, showcasing her own fashion sense without the presence of her famous parents.

Ella is the daughter of actor and comedy legend Ben Stiller, 60, and actress Christine Taylor, 54, who gained fame for her role as Marcia Brady in The Brady Bunch Movie. While fans have seen Ella walk the red carpet before, this was one of the rare occasions where she appeared without her parents. For the event, Ella chose a green cut-out and layered dress that featured a bustier-like top and a layered skirt. She completed the look with silver chandelier earrings and makeup that included a winged eye and a soft glossy red lip.

Her confident demeanor on the red carpet was evident as she posed for pictures before entering the venue. Ella has followed in her parents’ footsteps in the entertainment industry, appearing in films such as Hubie Halloween and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, as well as TV series like The Comeback and off-Broadway plays like Dilaria.

In a past interview with Teen Vogue, Ella shared her thoughts on her famous parents, highlighting the similarities between her and her Zoolander star father. “I think my dad and I are very similar in the way our brains work and the way we view art and writing and creativity,” she said. “I feel he and I are very much cut from the same cloth.” She also mentioned the unique sense of humor that runs in her family, noting that sometimes she finds herself making jokes that sound exactly like her mother’s.

Ella has a sibling, Quinlin Dempsey Stiller, 20, and the family has experienced some changes over the years. In 2017, Ben and Christine revealed their separation after 17 years of marriage, but they have since reconciled. The couple first met in 1999, and their journey through the challenges of their relationship has been a topic of discussion in recent years.

Christine recently spoke about their split and reconciliation during an appearance on the McBride Rewind podcast. She described the emotional difficulty of the decision at the time, saying, “I can talk about it now, but in the moment, it was very difficult to come to that decision. It was not light. It was not without a heavy heart.”

She explained how the COVID-19 lockdown forced them to confront their issues while living under the same roof with their children. “Ben and I spent a lot of time just working on us with a therapist,” she added. “We’d log into Zoom and we’d do our therapy sessions, and [we] really found the way back.”

Ella’s appearance at the Tony Awards not only highlighted her growing presence in the entertainment world but also showcased the strong family bonds that continue to shape her life. As she steps into her own spotlight, it’s clear that the legacy of her parents is both a source of inspiration and a foundation for her own journey.
