As the college football recruiting calendar accelerates into its most critical months of the year, several elite prospects have already made early commitments. This trend reflects a shift in the recruitment landscape, with more top-tier players pledging to schools earlier than in previous cycles.
Currently, 11 out of the 20 five-star recruits are already committed to a school, with over seven months until National Signing Day. While this number may fluctuate, it underscores the growing trend of early commitments. In the 2026 class, the majority of five-star recruits were committed by the end of the summer and remained with their chosen schools through signing day.
