Keltie Knight’s Journey with Facial Procedures
Keltie Knight, the 44-year-old co-host of E!, shared her experience with facial procedures in an essay published in Glamour. She described having a facelift at age 41 as “the best thing I ever did,” despite the high cost. Knight admitted that she had previously tried less expensive non-invasive treatments such as Kybella and CoolSculpting. However, she found that these procedures did not provide the desired results and, in some cases, caused more harm than good.
The First Procedure: A Necklift at Age 35

In 2017, when Knight was 35, she underwent a necklift with Los Angeles-based Dr. Jason Diamond. She described the procedure as a way to address what she called “a little wattle in my neck…the bottom of my chin where my neck hung down like a chicken.” Knight opted for a minimally invasive necklift due to her young age. According to her, Dr. Diamond essentially sewed the muscle together like a corset and suggested that the results would last about five years before requiring a facelift.
Ready for a Facelift at 41

By 2023, Knight’s skin had begun to sag again, prompting her to consider a facelift at age 41. She admitted that she was hesitant to share this decision, partly because of her age. However, she went through with the surgery and was back on camera just two weeks later. Knight praised the outcome, stating that everyone around her was amazed by her appearance. She attributed the success to the skill of Dr. Diamond, describing the procedure as “couture” and noting that it was the most delicate facelift she had ever experienced.
The Impact of Medi-Spa Treatments

Knight revealed that her facelift took longer than expected—nine hours instead of the usual three to four. She explained that this was due to the amount of scar tissue from previous medi-spa treatments, including fillers, threads, and microneedling. Knight described the process as “frying my face underneath.” Despite the challenges, she maintained that the facelift was worth the expense.
Balancing Looks and Health

While Knight focused on her appearance, she was also dealing with microcytic anemia, a blood disorder that eventually led to a 2024 hysterectomy. She admitted that she prioritized the facelift over addressing her health issues, which left her feeling guilty. Knight described the situation as contradictory, as she was struggling with a serious medical condition but still chose to focus on her looks.
Dealing with Criticism and Self-Worth

Knight’s journey in the entertainment industry began with her time as a Rockette before transitioning to television with The Insider in 2011. She confessed that she didn’t realize she wasn’t the “best and the prettiest” until she moved to Los Angeles. As she gained visibility in magazines, she faced harsh criticism from online trolls. Initially, they commented on her facial features, and the negativity took a toll on her self-esteem.
Comparing Herself to Others

During her time at The Insider in 2011, Knight often looked across the studio at Entertainment Tonight and admired former host Nancy O’Dell, whom she described as a “human Barbie doll.” However, reflecting on her earlier days, she realized that there was nothing wrong with her appearance. Knight acknowledged that she was hired for her talent, yet she struggled to see her own value.
She continued to reflect on how the pressures of Hollywood affected her. The more she focused on her appearance, the worse her hair and skin became. She noticed a decline in her overall well-being, leading her to feel “uglier” over time. Looking back at photos from her early career, she saw a significant change in her appearance, from being blonde and energetic to appearing sad and hollow-eyed.
