A Topsy-Turvy Love Story
The love story between Alvaro Morata and his model wife Alice Campello has been anything but straightforward. Recently, the couple has decided to call off their divorce plans for the second time, signaling a possible reconciliation after a series of ups and downs.
Morata, 33, and Campello, 31, initially split after Spain’s Euro 2024 victory due to conflicts that arose during the tournament. In August of the same year, they announced they were going their separate ways, seven years after their wedding. They briefly rekindled their relationship in January but then went their separate ways again.
The couple, who have four children together—twins Alessandro and Leonardo, aged seven, Edoardo, five, and Bella, three—decided to part ways because of communication issues.
“We are suffering because we are two people who love each other, but we don’t understand each other,” Morata said to Alexia Rivas, a contributor to the program Fiesta.
“Alice isn’t having a worse time than me because many people say she’s the one who’s hurting. I want to make it clear that we’re both hurting, it’s not that she’s bitter, we’re both hurting.”

In January, Spanish magazine Hola reported that Morata had moved out of the family home he shares with Campello and their four young children. According to Spanish journalist Javi Hoyos, the couple has once again decided to give their relationship another chance. They were recently spotted together at a Bad Bunny concert at Atletico Madrid’s Metropolitano Stadium, as shared on Instagram account beatrizespejel. Reports suggest they have actually been back together for some time.
Campello posted on TikTok: “I really enjoy seeing your kindness, your gentleness, and your ability to understand others. I’m sure you’ll go even further, because when things are done with respect, affection, and courtesy, you always win. And thank you also for all the messages of support and love from those who are happy for us.”
Accusations and Rebuttals
During their separation, Spanish reports claimed that Morata had an affair with Elena Sirigu, a sports management expert. In response, Morata denied these rumors, calling them untrue and accusing those spreading them of lacking heart.
“No special friend or anything like that, I’m not interested in that right now,” he continued to Fiesta.
“The day I have a special friend, I’ll walk around with her normally and you’ll see. People who claim there are third parties involved in a separation like this, especially with children involved, simply have no heart.”

Morata’s words align with Campello, who previously denied suggestions that she had been cheated on.
“Elena is a family friend whom I’ve known for years, and I can say with absolute certainty that she is not that kind of person and has never done anything she’s been accused of. I’m speaking out publicly because I’m deeply convinced of this,” the Italian model and influencer wrote on social media.
“She called me crying because of everything that’s been said about her, and she doesn’t deserve to be labelled a ‘family wrecker’. I’m defending Elena because she’s innocent and because, as a woman, I know very well how much certain accusations can hurt, damage, and leave deep scars on someone’s personal, professional, and family life.”
“She doesn’t deserve this exposure or to have her name associated with things she hasn’t done. Our relationship has always been clear: she even dedicated her undergraduate thesis to Masqmai [Campello’s beauty brand], and she’s a serious person with values and a respectable family.”
